Isn't it about time for trip out to the desert?

Before it gets too much hotter? Maybe Johnson Valley?

What do you think?

Sounds like fun. Haven't been to Johnson Valley yet. Just not sure if I can fit it in now. North half of the state is already burning. If you get something together, keep us informed and I would love to try and fit it in.

Where abouts is Johnson Valley?
Not that I need to drive anywhere to be in the desert.

The riding area is off Highway 247 (Old Woman Springs Road) and Camp Rock Road, about 55 miles southeast of Barstow (CA) or about 25 miles east of Victorville (CA). Most visitors access the area off Camp Rock Road driving north off of Highway 247. Staging for many competitive events is at Anderson Dry Lake, about 10 miles north of Highway 247 just east of Camp Rock Road. There is also access north of Highway 247, driving east toward Yucca Valley, at Bessemer Mine Road (to get to Soggy Dry Lake) and Boone Road. All of these roads are graded dirt roads.

right form the website...

Thanks Brady.
I don't know, that's a long way for me but it would be nice. I haven't been out that way in years.

I think we might have missed the "before it gets hot" idea but I'd still be interested. If we hurry we might make it before "insanely" hot hits! If you're taking toys then Johnson is a good place to get wild. If it's just a camping trip then it might be better around the area northeast of Barstow or the far side of Johnson off the I40 fwy. That way you can avoid much of the dust and dirt from the toy riders.
