Bill-X has found that some of the codes will change to warm sch after the
first full complete stop.

I would scan the TFT. Possible short or out of range.
If the TFT is showing to cold you will get the cold shift schedule.
Cold schedule in some PCM codes does not allow TC lock until fluid is warmed up some.
Also scan the TC lock to see if PCM sent the sig and the trans ignored for it for other reasons.
It could be locked just slipping. It will not slip code unless it slips while in OD.

Bill
What is the TFT? My first thought was that it was the cold shift thing but because it locks up only in OD I'm not sure? What do you mean scan the TC lock? How does a guy do that? If it was slipping it would feel the same even in OD wouldn't it?
Powerstroked162... I was of the understanding that if the converter isn't locked then the motor side impeller will spin thus moving fluid against the tranny side impeler and thereby spin the driveline. Then when the converter is locked up, the impellers lock together creating a direct drive driveline?

There is no flashing tranny light and when I scan the truck there are no codes other than P1111 which is "Sys pass (No DTCs Available)"

The TFT was just a possible reason.
I would also check the TPS sig to the PCM. (.5 to 4 volts)
If the voltage is low you will not have the early TC lock (lower gear).
The lower gear TC lock is from a WOT.
First is to remove the tuner to rule it out.
Check your batt voltage and charging voltage after a restart.
Be shure your connections are good (+/-)

I still don't know what the TFT is... tranny fluid temp? If the TPS signal is low wouldn't the engine not run as hard? It runs just as well as before in OD when the TQ converter is locked it just doesn't lock all the time. I will take try taking out the tuner to see if that does anything though. The battery voltage is where it's supposed to be.. no problems there.

Yes TFT is trans fluid temp.
The TC is also very temperamental to inputs from the brake light system.
A fault in the system can cause havoc on it.

How would I know if there is a fault in the brake system? Just look at the lights and see if they are doing anything crazy or what?
