coolant in oil +
1 blown head gasket
2 cracked head
3 cracked block
4 front cover or water pump gasket
5 gasket under intake manifold
2 and 3 are worst, but hope not these mothers. Did not overheat engine, so hope they're OK
1 seems more possible, but is a real pain in the glass
4 & 5 are easy but I wonder if they are possible (but 4 is the only place where I was messing around about three years ago, so could be possible

Are there any other places where coolant might meet with the oil? I know that I have to take the engine apart, but want to start from "easy" places, leaving heads for the final meal
Any bright ideas?PS happened suddenly - noticed temp going up slightly. Pulled over and added a litre of antifreeze to the system. Did not help. Next day added 2 more. Did not help, but I started wondering where does it go
So pulled out the dipstick... Wish I would never see what I saw
) Anyway, evenunder these conditions, the engine ran fine, no power or torque loss, no white smoke... Only the temp was a bit higher than usual, but still in the 'normal" sector. Bronco 2 XLT, 2.9 EFI, 1988, 5MOD
