I am going to replace the shocks on the 2002 350 4x4. What brands/models should I look for when buying new shocks for this truck. Keep in mind I plow snow in the winter, and 95% of driving is on paved roads. I dont plan on keeping the truck forever, probably only another year or two so super-long lasting is not important. I also do not think I should buy the cheapest ones possible. Do I go with Ford OEM, or another brand and hows the best way to buy them...online or order from auto-parts dealers.
No discussion even needed. either buy Bilsteins or dont waste money on anything else. IT is amazing the differnce that they made on my truck and excursion.
I put Edlebrock IAS's on both of my trucks, so far I have been impressed with them, but Bilsteins are the clear cut crowd favorite. Edlebrocks are a bit more money, but I found them on-line I think it was e-shocks.com but don't quote me on that.
Just put a set of bilsteins on a week ago or so, worth every penny, great ride. Check out the shock warehouse for great prices. Free shipping. Good luck. Or do what jim said, check your local parts center. See if they will price match. Good luck.
