Some doubt expressed on that forum about the origin. Nice collection though. Like the mortar and the "house warmer"....

But, where is the truck/trailer mounted quad .50 set up?

On a couple of other forums, those photos were shown, and that is (from one source) NOT Mr. Heston's collection, although, I would like to believe it was.

Mr. Heston was one class act.

Now, I need to go rest somewhere. Seeing all of those B.A.R.s got my heart pounding above where it should be for this time of morning!

(I LOVE John M. Browning's B.A.R.!!!!!!!!)

Not a Winchester Lever Action or a Colt SAA in sight, which makes me wonder if this is really Charlton Heston's collection.

With two exceptions, every Winchester model from 1885 thru 1902 was designed by John Moses Browning.

Browning designed models: 1885 / 1886 / 1887 / 1890 / 1892 / 1893 / 1894 / 1895 / 1897 / 1900 / 1901 / 1902.

Not Browning: Model 1883 Winchester-Hotchkiss / Model 1895 Winchester-Lee Navy. Both of these are bolt actions.

The 1883 is in .45-70 Gov't, the 1895 Winchester-Lee Navy is in .236 USN (6mm).

I saw that post questioning who's collection it is, but I thought it was worth posting regardless. (But they don't have a shotgun like Elmer Fudd's that I noticed!)

I sure would like to be the beneficiary of some of that.

Hmmmmmmmmmm. . . I wonder if they know that they have a long-lost relative that lives in Southern Maryland, and lives in my house?
