so i just got my 52 f1 torn down to a bare frame. ohh yeah, i on leave from iraq.if any one remembers (been a few months).. someone over the years installed a camaro front clip. so i'm gonna leave it. but was looking for some advise on what to use for the steering column. also plans call for a 500" caddy an a 700 r junk tranny. i know its sacriligeous, but hey, i got the parts an gonna use em. gonna get stewart warner gauges for the interrior, but was lookin for an idea for a seat that might fit it and be comfortable.
lgfuller,
Welcome back what unit are you in, I just return fron Afghanistan a few months ago. I used seats from a 94 Ranger 60/40 split they feel pretty comfortable to me.
Alot of people keep the bench or go with ranger seats but i found that an early 90's 60/40 from a buick regal or century can look rather nice. If the pic works its not my truck but where I got the idea. I made a similiar bracket as most do with the ranger seat and it fits perfectly. Got electric motors in the seats for every direction (up,down, forward, back and angle back) too.

that was kinda the thought, the ranger seat. maybe one outa a latemodel? what year seats you all been usin? i got the camaro steering column, and everything for it, just kinda out of ideas for mounting it up. its a little short. i was thinkin of adapting a ford van column that i have to the cheby steering box, and use a couple of ujoints.
