Blinker works on the truck and the wave runner. Running lights work fine. Changed out the bulb still not blinking. Checked the wirring which is connected with those quick bridges or whatever you call them. I replaced all 3 still not blinking.
Oh man! This one is little known but easy to deal with...
Your truck has two seperate fuses for the TRAILER turn signals. They're in the user manual - small skinny one in the glove box?
They are about five amp fuses, and you should grab a half dozen of them and keep them in the truck for this.
You'll likely find the fuse box for these on the left front inner fenderwell under the hood. I forget what number fuses they are, but the book will list them out for you.
Sorry - I missed that point.
It should be the same wiring harness all the way back to the rear trailer connection, so what splits off to the RV lights, and where?
There shouldn't be a fuse in the RV for that, but I won't say there isn't either...
When the wave runner is hooked up to the truck the blinkers work fine. So I don't think it's the fuses. The wave runner will not work behind the camper which I think it must be the camper wiring or connection. I do have running lights but no brake or blinker of the right hand side.
I would check the ground on that side then. Every problem I have ever had with trailer lighting was always the result of a bad ground. The lack of metal in a campers construction makes it hard to maintain a good ground. I have been using my friends 1973 camp trailer, and once in a while the left blinker stops working. I just take a screw driver and wiggle the screw I know the ground wire is attached to and it starts working again.
