I agree, it needs to be easy to get to, that's why I was asking...there is not a lot of easy places because the dash goes down so low.
I was thinkg about removing the ashtray and getting it in there, it looks like there is metal bracketry pretty shallow in there though...and the ashtray opening is not paralelfront to back with the truck.
As much as I would hate to do it, it might end up on top of the dash...
