Today while stoped at gas station, someone yelled at me and said my truck was leaking. I looked under and found atf running from the inspection cover. We were 2 miles from home so I eased it there and let it cool, toped off tranny(about 1/2-3/4 quart), test drove, no more leak. We had just came off a 30 mile hwy trip(70-75 mph) and ran about 1 mile city to the station.I did a search and found many topics about this but all involved pulling a load or going in reverse. I was doing neither. Outside temp was about 93 degrees though. Any thougts, a new tranny is in my future isnt it?! Its OK, you can tell me.
Thank you for the sugestions, I will do that. If the seal has been comprimised, is it possible for it to reseal and be trustworthy given the problem that caused it is fixed?
