I've been sick for the past three weeks (Pneumonia) so I haven't had a chance to go to any of the cruz nights, etc. to see what's new in River City (the 'Peg)....what people have made during the prairie winter.
I always like the clones.....such as '63 Galaxie fast back 500's with the stock 289 and Cruise-a-matic yanked out and a 460, masquerading as a 427 side oiler, with 4 speed std. taking it's place.
I've seen lots of clones over the years...'67 Biscayne two door post sedans with the original 230 Blue Flame six tossed in favour of a big block Chevy 502 crate motor, but with 427 decals on the valve covers, in there.
These are just a couple of examples...any favourite clones out there in Sask. or the rest of Manitoba ?
Lots of Mopar guys pulling out the six cylinder of 318 engines out of Cudas/challengers and sticking in 440 or 426 engines - this seems popular. my intention for the 70 stang was to make a Boss 429 clone. Maybe 'clone' isnt the right word because that would mean its made exactly as the factory made it, just not numbers matching. I wanted to just put in a 429 engine / 4 speed combo.
