'08 4L speed ??
Have 08 Ranger Sport 2x4 std 4L Why does vehicle crap out at 160KPH?? same in 3rd, 4th, or 5th. At speed truck is solid, smooth, queit and very firm. Has lots of power to 160K, and tows 22' 5th wheel effortlessly with plenty of torque.
Is the Computer governed? If so, how to undo it?
Love the truck otherwise and have 24,000Ks on it

What country you from? All this metric talk is dutch to me ha ha as I'm old school english system. Anyhow, yes it does have a speed and rev limiter to protect the driver and the engine. They can be removed with an engine programer. You can get said engine programer from BamaChips Tuning. It will also bump the hp and can improve mpg. The bama engine programer is the best in the business for fords, as Doug the owner, is a ford tune guru. It will also correct the speedo for larger tires and gears swaps, will improve shift points on auto trannies.
