Line level inputs from stock CD Changer
I just purchased a 2002 F-150 XLT extended cab pickup with a CD Changer in it.
I had a VERY NICE sound system in my old car, but since the bay in this truck is a double din and my old deck was a single I don't want to install it and have that odd looking plastic all around it. So I want to use the factory head unit as a source my amp. My amp does not have speaker level inputs.. just line level inputs. Since I doubt the head unit has line level output my only hope is that I can splice off the CD player. (I know I won't be able to use the sub with the radio or tape deck this way, but the radio here in KC is crap and I don't own any tapes)
So the heart of my question here is, Does anyone know what colors the wires are for line level output from the cd changer so that I might splice in RCA cables??

You could get a line level adapter. It will take speaker level output and convert it to an acceptable level for rca inputs. It is not the best way to go, but it will work.
