Ok, so i pulled some codes off my truck (1996 f250 4x4 351) using the info off the fordfuelinjection site. I did it a few times to make sure i was gettin the same codes, but i dunno if i did it all right. Bear with me...
KOEO-111 system pass?
CM-172 HEGO sensor circuit indicates system lean (right side) (*im positive i got this code but its only listed under KOER?)
337 DPFE or EVP circuit above the maximum limit of 4.81 volts.
KOER-116 ECT out of self test range 0.3 to 3.7 volts.
172 HEGO sensor circuit indicates system lean (right side)
536 Brake On/Off circuit failure / switch not actuated during KOER test
538 Insufficient RPM change during KOER dynamic response test/ Operator error
632 Overdrive cancel switch not changing state (E4OD)
...like i said, not sure if theyre all right, but ill go do it again to verify. Any other help about these codes would be great, not sure what they all mean! Thanks ahead of time!!
...ok, so i guess i screwed up a little. so i found out i did actually do something wrong with the KOER test...i didnt hit the brake, hit the gas or push the od button, so when i did, the codes 538, 536, and 632 didnt show up again (stupid me!). But i still got 172...so im guessin thats an o2 sensor right? and what about the other code?
I was just going to say, the last 3 codes are user error during the self test. Do you still get the 116 or 337? You should clear the codes and test for them again after a few days, whatever comes back is then current.
The 172 is probably not the O2 sensor, the computer is saying the motor is lean on the right side and the only way it could know this is if the O2 is working. Possible causes include a cracked exhaust manifold or dirty injector.
