2002 to 2005 conversion
ok i have an 02 f150 with an 05 4.6L because my 02 engine blew
I have a 02 bbk CAI on it with i think is the 02 MAF
I have the service codes that im running lean but i dont know if the 02 parts are causing it. and i dont know whether to buy a new 05 CAI n MAF or just buy 05 OEM replacement parts. how can tell or fix this
it runs fine once you get it going but im having some hp lost/start-up probs.
the startup:it acts like its about to start but then the rpms shake at idle position then drop to 0. I rev it to 1000 RPMS for bout a few seconds then it holds sort of steady on its own.
hp lost: pretty self explanatory (i feel it)

Spray the filaments in the MAF with brake parts cleaner. Do not touch them.
Inspect the PCV hose assembly. May times the 90 degree elbow on rear where it attaches to the intake manifold will crack causing a leak.
