low range frustration!

low range frustration!
Ok, I have read as many posts as I can, and I am still without an answer.
I can not switch into low range.
Push button 4x4 works just fine though. I tapped the ol motor with a hammer as a friend suggested, and killed it. I pulled it apart and it looked like a grenade went off in it. I whipped out $100 bucks and bought a new one.
The new one, will switch into 4x4 HI like the old one, but still no 4 Low.
I have looked for the 4x4 control module mentioned in other posts, but cannot find it. It might be there, but I ain't seeing it. I've removed the glove compartment and there are many modules, but no luck on the 4x4 module, at least I think so.
I have tried putting it in neutral and depressing the brake before I push the low button. Still nothing. No clicking, and with the shift motor off it doesn't rotate. It does rotate when I shift it to 4 hi though. I can rotate the shaft on the transfer case with a pair of pliers easlily however. And yes it does go into 4 lo. I was able to shift into 4 low when I purchased this truck, but now it will not do it for some reason.
Please shed some light on this!

I've found the transfer case control module. The light will not light up at all. When I pluged the wires back in, nothing happened. I cannot even go into 4 HI now.
I dismantled the box and I think I found the problem. Does anyone know where I can get a replacement? The dealership cannot get one and the parts places don't know what I am talking about.
