starting issue
I have an 88 with a 5.8L in it, the problem that I am having is not serious, yet.
When I turn the key, I can hear the fuel pump prime the system but it doesn't seem to prime enough pressure into it to get it to fire up without alot of cranking, when it does fire it barely runs for about 2 seconds then comes out of it and runs fine.
If I cycle the key a few times and listen to the pump I can hear that there is more pressure in the system, crank it over and it fires right up no problems. My ? is this the high pressure pump going bad or possibly something else. If I let it sit after priming the system it seems to hold the pressure for a little bit so I don't think it has any leaks anywhere in the system.
