I've been running the $100 set for around 6 months now with no trouble and I don't expect any-any sooner than with an expensive OE COP.

Standard has been around for a long time. Usually good stuff.

I was thinking the same thing. Standard's been around a long time. I saw the COP's on eBay, too, and was going to get a set myself and give them a try. Found a new 8-pack set of the SP-479 Motorcraft plugs on eBay for $14.95 and grabbed them.

What was the seller id for the spark plugs and the seller id for the cop's. They both sound like good deals and I want to see if they have anymore.
-Thanks

marketingdepot is the seller ID for the spark plugs. They had 10 sets of the 8-packs when I got mine. As for the COP's, I don't remember off the top of my head the seller's ID, and when I went to search, I can't find them anymore. They may have sold all of them. If I remember, they were selling all 8 COP's for under $100 - great deal! I'm going to keep searching daily until they re-appear - hopefully!

The Standard COP's are back on eBay. They have 7 of the 8-pack's ready to go. Seller ID is jacp37 - they're out of Ohio.

The ones I bought were from Global Automotive. Just drove about 400 miles and haven't had a problem with them.

I finally got around to doing the whole plug & COP job. Pulled the original 94,000 mile set and installed (8) new SP-479's in along with (8) of the Standard COP's I got off of eBay. All went very well and the engine idles a lot smoother and is a bit more responsive. I've only put about 100 miles on since the work was done, but things feel very good so far. I'd say the Standard's are worthy of 2 thumbs-up! I'd recommend them.

Many parts sold with the "Standard" name on the outside of the package are OEM components purchased through large quantity contract and sold under their brand name.
It's very likely you have OEM Ford COP's without the OEM Ford PN on them.
