Cyl 5 Misfire

Yesterday the truck was running like complete garbage. I never had a problem before that. Today I started it up to go check the codes, and it runs perfect again. The code it threw was a cyl 5 misfire. Is this something that could have just been a coincidence? I don't think it has had a tuneup in a while, and it has 124k on it.

Could be a coil starting to fail.
What year and engine is it?????

Maybe you got one of the coils wet.. how many miles do you think the plugs have been in for?

Ok.. It was fine going to work today, and most of the way home. I felt it shaking again, assuming its misfiring again. I dont have a cel yet, but it was missing for a few minutes before I got home. I don't know if its the same cyl yet, until i have a light and can put it on the computer. Ive only owned the truck for about 15k and I never did a tuneup to it yet. For all I know they could be original. I was looking to do a tune up to it soon. Its a 2001 Screw with the 5.4L triton in it. Its been hot and sunny all day, so theres no way it got wet between the time it was running good and now.
