Good to hear you're making progress, ol' paint. One tip I reckon I'll throw in for the future is the use of an impact driver (either air- or hammer-powered) for bolts that go through/into aluminum. Gotta be careful not to use TOO much force behind it, though.
I've found my impact driver to be most useful on my '82 Kawasaki...their engineers decided to use philips-head machine screws for just about every external engine part. Now, of course, the Japs couldn't leave well-enough alone, so they created their own philips screw head that a regular screwdriver doesn't QUITE fit into. But a tap of a hammer with an impact driver loosens 'em right up!
i did this on a 302 a few years back and i used a socket and it worked great...trick was if i remmber correctly...put the socket on the bolt 1st, you slide your hand and half your arm up under the plenum and put the socket on thru the little grove there, pull your bloddy nub of and arm out and put aprx 10" extention into the socket...worked for me!
now onto the little PITA parts...do what u can label whatever works for you, no-offense but i must admit that this stuff always makes me giggle cuz i have always done it from memory...and my first "big job" was a head gasket...which is a no-biggie now...but i know not everyone can do that, so like said before be patient and lable if u need to, mabey even pics, i like to take pictures to remmber what things used to look like before mods and such.
I'm assuming you finished the job over two years ago and everything's running fine now. I just broke the two bottom mounting bolts while removing the throttle body on my '89, so off comes the manifold. That sucks!!

Does all of that get deleted when you put on headers? If it does im buying a set.
Edit: As said in the above posts i could not get a 3/8" socket in to get the torx, i used a bunch of pb blaster and a multi bit screwdriver with a torx bit and a pair of channel locks
Again thanks for all the help and im sure i will need more tommorow when i try to put it all back together.
