cd changers

ok, I just bought a 2002 f-150. It came with a in-dash cd. My father bought the same vehicle. His came with a 6 disc cd changer. He doesn't use it and said if i wanted it them i could remove it and have it. My question is....Is my truck wired for a dics changer? I am switching radios with him so the only problem I have is finding where to hook up ith changer. There is no connector off of the radio for this. Thanks.

The stock changer is wired into its own harness. I would think his changer would be an indash changer (my 2001 Mustang has a 6disk indash so a 2002 should have it too). Double check to make sure before you go too far.

If you two have the same truck, just switch out the whole radio (head unit) and the wiring harness will be there with it. Then just mount the changer where his was and run the wiring in the same manner.
Should be simple.
