edge evolution

Hi
I have an 04 f150 heritage 4.6 and I was wondering if I could take a computer out of an 03 and put it in mine so the edge evo would work
Thanks in advance
Patrick

I have already called out to edge and they said it won't work. The calibration is different from the 03 f150 and the 04 new body style. It has its own programming. The 03 and 04 heritage are the same except for the computers programming.

ahh, i c... well all that means is that there programers arent tuned for that year or what ever, the actual tune on there would work just fine... Im in the same boat kinda... I swapped my engine and my edge has the 4.6l and 5.4l tune built in but since my computer reads a 4.6l hex file, so it tunes for the 4.6l .... they said that they could make a custom hex file to switch me over, but they would need approval from there supervisor since it would take some time... never heard back...

sorry bud try SCT or diablo sport, they are really good to maybe they can help you

I found another programmer just like the edge it is called gryphon. They said it will work but the will have to do a custom tune for it. Its better than edge because they can tune it for whatever mods you have. The edge is only for stock. The gryphon is just an edge with a different case and a custom tune.

ALso i noticed that the griffen has transmission temp, i wonder why edge doesent have that... would really be nice to have it on my PID... maybe i can get an upgrade, or else maybe sell my edge and buy one of those...
