I had a back up sensor on my excursion go up. Somebody told me that it triggers a code in the OBD-II. I took it to autozone and they scanned it for me and came up with nothing. A friend of a friend is a ford tech and he scanned the OBD-II with the ford tool and it told him which one is was.
Is there some special OBD-II scanner or some type of software that I can buy that will tell me more then just the check engine light stuff ?
Several people on this site have Auto Enginuity. I've researched it, and it looks REALLY good. Not just for a scan tool also! I don't know if youe Ex is gas or diesel. I have the Predator tuner for my PSD, and it works pretty well as a scanner, also. Superchips tuners have the same capability.

When my Excursion broke down last week, the OBDII scanner the tow service loaned to me would
not pull any codes. But the Ford dealership was able to pull a code and pinpoint my problem quickly.
