First Post!!! 2004 2.3 Tranny flare
This is my first post and I have read the many pages of automatic tranny problems. I have the popular 2-3 flare that is not there when the truck is cold, but shows up under normal throttle when it is warmed up. I have 1st gear braking fine. The truck only has 37K on it. Is this the band adjustment issue I see in some of the threads? I am mechanically minded as long as it is not DEEP into the transmission. Let me say, I really want to buy USA stuff. My grandfather worked at the Ford plant in Louisville KY for years. I need and want this truck to give me years of great service. Thanks for any help and I apoligize if this problem has been done to death. I just don't want to hurt this truck by not fixing it early enough.
