Is it possible to program the built in Homelink in my Wife's Monterey with out using a clicker and having it rob the code out of it? Also can I program it to unlock the house to garage door, also homelink? Don't send me to the Homelink site as it's pretty worthless, as are the vehicles Homelink instructions, for this.
You have to have the transmitter for the Homelink in her car to learn the signal from. I don't understand what you mean by it robbing the code? Make sure the normal opener has new batteries as I was cussing up a storm trying to get the homelink in my truck to learn the code for my parents garage door, until I finally tried new batteries. The batteries were plenty strong for the transmitter to control the door, the homelink module in my truck just didn't like it until I put in new batteries.
I'm pretty sure if the door between the garage and house is controlled by a homelink remote you can program the car to control it also.
Homelink is just a standard for RF receivers/transmitters to allow different brands to communicate with each other.
