HELP low power!!!

I was pulling my friends boat that weighs around 10000lbs up a 6% grade and only could do 35mph and had to manually downshift to 2nd gear and was still losing speed.I pulled that boat before up that same hill at 50-55mph before and only using less then half throttle.My egt was 1000-1100,boost 15lbs and trans was 200-210.Check the fuel filter and it was clean.Any ideas.Mahalo

hey chris i would check the fuel pressure. sounds like low fuel pressure pump could be going.

make sure you don't have any leaky boots or up pipes.

I also feel you should be putting out more boost with the mods you have. Look for a leak too.

I can still hit 25-27lbs unloaded,the 15lbs is what i was seeing when i was pulling the boat,should it be more when loaded?As for fuel pressure it seems fine when i floor it,i still have the same power as before.

Pullin 10,000 lbs up a 6% grade should be more then 15 #. Pulling and empty is way different in these trucks. You need lots more fuel and air pulling the weight and grade you were. I have not had that problem yet so, maybe someone will give you better info on this.

I am 100% sure that my filter in the tank is pluged with crap.It happened to my friend and thought that it was the trans and had it rebuilt for nothing cause it was still doing it come to find out it was the the filter in the tank.since i will have the tang out what mods can i do with my tank?
