Transmission selector broken.
This morning the gearshift selector on the '93 made a popping noise, and I believe the spring that adds tension to it broke off some how. The selector also only gives me N, OD, 2, and 1.
I'm gussing this is going to be a junkyard fix. Has this happend to anyone else, and if so how did the fix go? Thanks

One big "Pop" like something broke?
You may have broke the "shift tube", tends to be a dealer item but you may get lucky and find a good one in a bone yard.
Common problem in em, easy fix if thats the problem, just need to drop the column down some from the dash to change it.

The indicator is attached to the instrument cluster. It can be removed with 2 screws IIRC. There is a little spring that does hold tension on the string that has the indicator on it. Open it up and see what you need. If it's only a spring, I'm sure you could source one from a hardware store.
