I heard on the Glenn Beck Radio program today, that 50 miles off the coast of Key West, Florida, China and India have set up 2 drilling platforms to drill for oil! That's right, a scant 50 miles away! They are using a technique called slant drilling as opposed to vertical drilling. They can drill towards Cuba or the good old USA! And just what is our government doing about it or what could they do? Would China or India ALLOW the USA to slant drill 50 miles off their coast towards them? There must be oil there or why would they be drilling. Sure, let our resources be taken and our sovereignty along with it! Isn't that ironic? We can't touch it but other countries can! (Thanks, Clinton!) Will those other countries follow guidelines to prevent spills and clean it up if a spill happens? Why should they? Let it float to Key West and we have to do it!
Sadly, I think you are correct and have advocated the China threat for quite some time here @ FTE.
Yes, you are correct. That is why I DON"T BUY ANYTHING from China. I don't want to subsidize a foreign country to eventually come over here and kill us. We sent them our jobs, I won't send them money, too. Too old to learn Chinese and I won't eat their food either!

Ok woah, not eating Chinese food would kill me... You can get like 5 pounds of dinner for like 4 dollars... I guess that follows for just about everything else Chinese.
And how can you not buy something from China? I try not to whenever possible, but it seems like everything these days is Chinese, and consequently falls apart...
The China thing is just us shooting ourselves in the proverbial foot. We tax the snot out of businesses, and its no wonder they move off shore. Think about it: when its so expensive to make something here that its cheaper to build an entire factory over seas, pay for countless jet trips half way across the planet (or maybe dig a hole there?) and ship the product half way across the planet again in a container ship, and then truck it from whatever coast it landed at to where it needs to go, you know something is wrong. Amazon.com: The Fair Tax Book: Saying Goodbye to the Income Tax and the IRS: Neal Boortz, John Linder: Books was a really good book that explains the whole tax situation, but I digress.

Everybody has their shorts in a knot over Anwar since it has been made an issue, but seem to let what is in our own doorstep fly right on under the radar since it is easier to blame dems rather than our current oil-man prez.

Yes, I will blame him also. But Clinton started the whole mess in 1995 along with his cronies in Congress. Locked everything up and Bush went right along with it. I'll also blame those who don't give H.R. 6001 a vote. See, I'm not biased. Throw them all out, start over!
