1965 3 Speed OD Setup
When I bought the truck it was not running. The story I got is that it was driven from Nevada to Texas, then the prior owner tried to do some engine work on the 352 (rebuild the carb I think) and somehow locked up the engine.
Ran this in the classified awhile ago.

If it was closer, I'd take it off your hands in a NY minute. A complete setup is hard to find. These were used thru 1972, and the gas mileage goes waaaay up on the highway with an O/D.
Would you believe well over 20? Would you believe 28.7? I get over 20, usually around 22, and this is with a 390 4V. Try getting that kinda gas mileage in a 2008 model, lotsa luck.
The one time 28.7 was achieved was on a rod run on old Route 66 in AZ, the average speed was 45 MPH.
With this kinda gas mileage possible and the price of gas today, why would you remove the O/D and install a gas burner C6?
Probably in the $300 range for all parts, including a spare 3 speed transmission w/ OD and solenoids. Trades OK and would work with you on the price if you help with the labor! Actually would prefer you come to Arlington to make sure you get all the parts you need.
Retiredfire, I will give you a call later today or tonight.
