pulling a 302
no way I'm getting the exhaust system disconnected by removing fasteners, what's the best approach to cutting it off ?
the long alternator mounting bolt is firmly stuck, 3in1 and a breaker bar are getting me nowhere (well I have started rounding the head), should I try heating it with a torch? (will it damage the cast housing)
the fuel line connections are pretty well stuck too, seems like I'm gonna break the metal tubing trying to get them undone, have the little collar tool and been hitting them with 3in1, but no luck . .
what are the recommended lift points to attach the hoist to ?
thanks

(semi-repost of this, I'll try one step at a time)
Hoist points are ususally attached to the exhaust manifolds, but you can use any other decent sized bolts going corner to corner if you like.
Fuel lines can be ugly. With liberal lubricant, insert the tool and while holding the tool and 1 side of the fuel line with one hand, grab the other side of the line with the other hand and push the lines together like you are trying to attach them before you try to pull apart.
Get out the reciprocating saw for the exhaust and cut it off behind the manifolds.
the 87 cab/motor are spares/leftovers (junking whats left after salvaging anything good/better than the 89). . so removing the 87 motor I can sacrifice things that I have too . . but spares are always good . . may eventually rebuild this block . .
have an 89 cab/motor I'm moving to the 250 frame/drive train . .
