Transmission jacking

Well the trans. came out fine with a makeshift platform and a standard floorjack. However this weekend i tried to put it back in and had some trouble. the truck has an 8 inch lift so i removed the tires and lowered the truck. this still did not work. Does anyone know if there is a highlift trans. jack i can rent.

Take a standard floor transmission jack and build a small raised platform out of 4x4 blocks and 2x4's. Then just use ratchet straps and fasten it to the tranny jack mounts.
