What kind of oilfield work? I've been in the business for 24 years. The pay is good right now but I'll tell ya, if you like being at home and having weekends off then forget it, the oilfield won't be for you.

I work six days a week, 10 hours a day, every day and I have it easy. There are guys working 12s seven days a week.

There is a lot of different type jobs in the oil field. What are you looking at doing? I retired a couple years ago from Halliburton. What questions do you have?

Scott, I was in the cement/tools, but not mud motors. That was a different field. I have watched your motors work and fail lol. But mostly work.

Sounds like you will be building the location. I don't know if they use board roads where you are at, but down here it is a must. Roustabout maybe?

Someone here around town has been advertising drilling positions like CRAZY, but say nothing about the company or what location they are drilling. I know there is a lot of oil business out in the Grand Junction area.

I cant help you with the oil part, but if you need help finding a suitable place to live or anything like that, I am a Denver native and I can help you get pointed in the right direction.
