New guy from Redlands, Ca.
I'm new at this so please be gentle. First, fingers are too big for this little sissy keyboard but I'll try. I'm rebuilding a '48 Ford F1 and will be needing alot of questions answered.
I did some horse trad'n for a 8BA, Flathead that had been setting for 38yrs. for certain, possibly 42 yrs. Anyway, I put new plugs in it, got the oil sludge and water sludge out, checked the starter brushes, they were o.k. Hooked it up to a battery, poured gas in the carb and it coughed a couple of times and started up. Ask me if I was surprised? My Grandpa and Dad would would be proud. Now I'm hooked. I love the sound of a Flathead. I will put it in my truck and drive it till the wheels fall off. Thanks for allowing me into your group. Ralph.
