Ok, so let me start by saying that if I got stabbed I would bleed Ford Blue. My neihbor just got married today and his 04 chevy silverado is having issues. I know this is a Ford site, but i want to help them out. We replaced the alternator on it and now it won't do anything at all. Before the truck had low voltage and now it wont run but for a minute and it dies. I knwo Chevys are POSs but I just wann a help out the newly weds next door. I know nothing about bowties so can anyone help?

If you used the alternator to charge the battery, try disconnecting the cables for a few minutes and reattach them. It might be possible you blew the int. voltage reg.
Have the battery tested, at rest it should be at least 12.6 volts.
Since it starts and then dies, I would look at a relay that is overheating because wiring got messed up from whatever ...
