disc brake conversion brake lines

disc brake conversion brake lines
im converting over to disc brakes on my 68.im at the brake line part.can the original steel lines be used or are disc brake lines a different diameter?i have the proport. valve and was going to tie into old lines with couplers.can anyone give me a start to get going?

the orriginal hard lines can be used, but you will need to buy diffrent rubber lines to fit the calipers, I just bought lines for a 79 ford truck from a local auto parts store. I have a 72 but I did not need to add any line to get the prop. valve to fit.

You need the brakets to mount on the frame. the hard lines go under the frame and mount to the brackets, then the flex line goes from there. If you didn't get the hard lines from the donor, you should look for some from a junkyard because the piece that goes under the frame has a kind of a convoluted covering to protect it from rocks and such.
