Just a warning: I took delivery of my '01 Screw on July 3. On July 13, I discovered a 7.5 inch tear or separation on the roof of the cab along the outer groove on the passenger side. I had just finished washing the truck and decided to wipe off the top to keep the water that collects in the grooves from dripping down onto the windshield. That's when I found the tear. I immediately take it home, shoot pictures, and call my sales guy. He asks me to e-mail the pics and I do. By Tuesday, there is no word. I took the truck to the dealer (2 hours away) and they tell me they will send it to a body shop for repair. I couldn't believe it. Body shop! I reminded them that I had just taken delivery and not made the first payment. No body shop guys, I want a replacement. They call the regional rep and he says we can only repair. I am supposed to meet this guy sometime this week to get this straight.

Please take a few minutes to check everything before you leave the lot. I have no idea of how much rain water and car wash water from me and the dealer got into the tear. Rust can't be far behind. Looks like I got a fight on hands but so does Ford.

I bought my new Supercrew on friday night July 27th. The next day when i pulled it out of the garage i noticed what looked like water spots all over the hood and roof of the truck. The spots wouldn't come off. I took it to the Ford body shop and the manager said the hood and roof would have to be repainted. I said no way!
Every black truck they had was like this except for the Lighting on the showroom floor. They told me they would take the hood off the Lighting and put it on my truck. I was willing to let the roof issue go because i really wanted the truck. The very next day after church we are going home and the moon roof wouldn't close and it started to rain.
I drove straight to the dealer ship and handed them the keys and had them tear up the paperwork.
