I have a 240 6 cyl sitting in my garage for 3 years now and have tried selling it with no luck. I really hate to get rid of it it but was wondering if any of you all know wether this is an engine anyone would ever want to use because of so many other economical and environmental choices. I'm looking for opinions please. What would you do with it?
Have you tried Craigs-list yet? I have sold a a lot of automotive stuff on there and got a decent price for the stuff doing so. Plus the website is free and you can post pictures of your item.
It is just a thought.
My pickup had a 240 from the factory, as to weather or not any one would want one, I am sure some one out there would, either as a replacement to a blown 240 in there truck or maybe to be used to make a 300 cubic inch six.
Judi48, good point on the economical side. I just remember mine being very much of a gas hog with very little power. Never got more than 16 MPG on a flat road with an empty tank of gas load.
