Clock Spring R2'd success
Oh yeah-almost forgot. I also had enough with the damn @@%$%@ leaking ooz coming from the steering wheel itself at the 12 O'clock location.
That tar crap (internal cushion jelly?)-you know what. The way I discovered I even had a problem with that one is that I had gotten in on my right hand-driven into work-itched my face-went into work-and then when they looked at me it appeared as if I was getting ready for the next super bowl. Really embarrassing.
So-2 birds with 1 stone story there.
The price of the clock spring? Are you kidding me. I did a continuity check on one at the junk yard and paid 1 buck only. If anyone is interested it my instructions I could walk you through completely. Even all the way back to the retorquing of your steering wheel which on something like that I always put a "scratched" match mark on for peace of mind the look to see if it tries to loosen up.-----Laterz

ps-super glue is needed also (not for sniffing either)
--no one ever told you that one did they? The grounding clip just behind the ignition cylinder. I could go on and on. Details are a sickness to me. Jet engine mechanic in the Air Force 20 years will do that to you.
