I was reading a post on powerstroke nation that some guys add seafoam in there fuel bowl when changing filters.filled it right up and started the motor.Would any of you do that. Here is the link.any real proof injector cleaners work? - Powerstroke Nation
Everything i have read here says stay away from any engine cleaner especially on diesels. Apparently they do not work and actually are not good for the engines. In the negative category the brand seafoam is usually the first name up.
The only thing I use Seafoam on is my outboard, chainsaws and weedeater. It works great on two-stroke motors, but I wouldn't use it on your truck.
Injectors are a bit pricey. I use BG 244 every third year or so and Diesel Kleen regularly, and in seven years I've not had any injector problems at all.
Buy fuel from stations that move a lot of diesel, every oil change drain the fuel from the water separator, and change your fuel filter at least every 15K, and you should be good to go.
