I was just wondering if any of you are workers or such on high rise construction buildings. I finally landed a job on a 46 story building here in Las Vegas. I have worked in construction for 38 years, but wow this is a different world. Huge 40 story cranes grinding away. 10,000 yards of concrete being poured 24-7. Huge scaffolding, people teathered, but haning out of windows at 900 feet above the ground.
Man, it gave me a $%rd *n. I love construction. It has treated me well over the years. It is a great trade!
Have done a few High rise pumping jobs, I'm amazed at the caliber of some of these projects, you gotta be on the ball from the time you arrive on site till the time you leave, lots of stuff going on...... love the "Big show".. but you won't find me walking high steel or anything like that I stay way back from the rails heights ain't my thing.
them high steel boys are a breed of there own , i know I could never do their job.....
All I have ever known has been related to construction and big Iron, I couldn't function couped up in a factory, I need to be in the mix....My days of Tonka toys never left me they just progressed to bigger and better things, work is play for me "Most days"
