Ok guys, Yes it seems to be beat to death, but there is still no difinitive answer as to what pistons are out there other than custom ross units. Does a true flattop piston exist or is the closest one from a 351 with a smaller wrist pin diameter? My 95 is about to go under the wrench for rings and I would really like to bump the compression up to about 9:1-9.5:1 while I am at it. From what I have researched so far, there is a flattop available only the compression height is not correct. What is the exact cc volume of the chamber? I am thinking total seal gapless rings on whatever piston I can come up with. Any info would be great other than the usual "do a search". I figure someone out there has been down this road before.
Thanks. Slim pickens but it looks like Venolia has a part number for me to request info on. I will call on Monday. How about head combustion chamber volume?
Ok, so far what I found was a piston from a 351w with an early 300 rod with a .912 wrist pin should work. The compression height and the bore is the same only the wrist pin is smaller. I still need to check on the early rod specs. This combo should work. I am going to check with an engine builder. I will keep all interested parties posted.
