vehile: 2001 Expedition XLT 5.4. My front passenger side window makes a lot of noise when being lowered or raised. The window moves easily but makes a sound that is noticeably louder and grungier/metallic that any of the other windows. What may be causing this and how can I fix it?

could be anything from dirt on the outer and inner rubber pcs that are on either side of the glass. Wipe that area first. Then check the sides that the window slides up and down in. Brush or blow out with air, and then lubricate with a silicone spray. If you lube with the window down, you minimise the amount of overspray onto the glass. Move the window up and down a few times. If that fails then there is something else stuck inside the track inside the door,(you will have to remove the inside panel and check with a light.) If you have had your glass broken out, and replaced, sometimes pcs of glass get stuck in the track in some of the folds of rubber, clean them out gently with a small screw driver, as to not rip the rubber.
