I just went through this same thing last week. Matter of fact just put the new sensor in Tues. They have an updated part number, I can get it for ya if you need it, mine ended up costing about $146.oo and another $56 for the tube if you need that (I didn't). When mine was out, it was throwing two codes, changing the sensor fixed both. And so far seems to have brought up the MPG. By the way, thanks again to F350-6 for helping me out on that one I'd prob. still be huntin' the problem if he hadn't jumped in with info.
well when i cleaned mine out my mpg went up too but when i read codes the other day i found those 2 so i dont know if they were threw before i cleaned it out or after so im just gonna let it sit for right now and keep a watch on codes and mpg
I'll bet they were thrown BEFORE you cleaned it out. You got any way to reset the DTC's? What are the two codes, you remember? Ours were P0478 & P0470, that's not to say that those are the ONLY codes that a bad sensor can throw, but those are the two I had.
