Are there two small holes, one on each side of the faceplate? If so, insert a small drill bit into each hole to 'unlock' the unit, then it should pull out.
there should have been 2 j shaped tools that came with ur HU. u gotta pop the trim piece off and slide the in the holes and it should release it when ya pull them out. that was how it was for my jensen, my alpine has to little things ya pull shaped like a C to release it. id take the trim piece off and look.
