i opened up that dang box and BOOM i was like what crap?? this is a dang filter is for a freightshaker. that thing is HUGE!!!!!! i put it on after takin that stupid stock air box off and me and my new little puppy went ridin around to test it out. and i have to say it runs better and that dang stock box was filled with bugs and butterfly wings and stuff just filthy glad i got that k&n junk outa there. also that durn sensor was a PITA to get out it was like covered in bug debris so i had to pry that thing out but its done now so i took my PAA prescription today ha ha oh another sign of my disorder while me and my puppy were sittin in the driveway wiatin on the ups guy when he got out he asked ... so another thing for your truck? i was like yep shure is
if anybody is on the ledge go ahead and lean over towards the 6637 i'll give it a good road test this weekend (goin to bama) and i'll let yal know how it goes but i can already tell my motor is running better
Tell me about it, i couldn't belive a filter that size would fit in a truck. When Dave and i put mine on it was (is) so cool going down the road hearing that swooshing sound lol.
The only drawback to the 6637 is the drone it makes. However, it can be cured by yet another mod- homemade cold air box. There is a good write-up here in the forums for it.
I love the whistle & sound of the van turbo & WW with the 6637. Still have the AIS sitting on the shelf for now since they both have the same filtration results on my used oil analysis reports.
Just get a S & B air box and you'll have it all! You just clean the filter with the same cleaner and oil from the K & N, and you'll never have to buy a 6637 again.
I got the K&N cold air intake. One day I was messin around and took the filter off and went around the block my truck definatly ran better. Most of the guys here told me that the 6637 would be better than the K&N. I will get to it one of these days. So many mods so little money
I love my filter and it really looks good with the PETE filter on it and the sound is awesome. My next mod is the turbo wicked wheel, to take care of the surge that the extra air that is going through that monster.
I just got the AFE reusable 6637 kit with tube and "TYMAR" type filter holder from Air Flow Systems. I am hoping to get it installed today or tomorrow along with CCV mod. I will be doing a write up on it when done to let everyone know how it went.

I have this filter also(see misc posting pics gallery for pics), UOA from the first 6K miles show it filters as well as AIS or 6637.
I have heard many people mention "The Pete's Filter cover" after doing the mod. Sorry for sounding uninformed, but what is the Pete filter cover made of and where are you all getting them from??
