I would like to get a few more inched out of my truck and would like to purchase some lift blocks. However there are allready 2 inch factory blocks on the rear. Can I buy some universal ones and use them with the factory block or do I have to pitch the factory ones? I ask because I was looking to get 2-3 more inches, and I was wondering if they needed to be tapered for pinion angle. I have also heard that you aren't supposed to use 2 block at once, but I sweat I've seen trucks set up like that.
you can put two block no problem, they just gotta connect to each other; however, you are not allowed to put block on the front leaf springs that is illegal, dot will shaft you for it.
No.. don't stack blocks if you have the choice, install a taller block to replace the existing one. And you should also install traction bars because the axle is gonna wrap even worse than it does stock. It also wouldn't hurt to use a tapered block, it doesn't take much or an angle on the U-joint to produce a major vibration problem.
I am getting both sides again!!! :P
Is the stock block 2 inches tall?
If so, I guess I would need a 5 in block.
Any recomendations on good traction bars?
