'96 Exploder AM-FM-Cassette........
The power button doesn't work on the parents' '96 Exploder AM-FM-Cassette. The radio stays on. Has anyone else experienced this & if so what was the problem? Just need to spray the switch assembly??
I haven't removed it yet (live 2 hrs away).

My parents Grand Marquis did the same thing. I pulled it and sent it to Speedometer Service in Roswell, GA. They put a new **** in and returned it. Don't remember the price, but I know it wasn't much.

You can get their number and address there. All of the southeast Ford dealerships use them from what I understand for any warranty work.
