Motor Skip?

I was driving down the road at about 50ish and my truck did what i would call a skip. It seemed to have a jump type action for just one time, now it seems to be okay. Anyone one have any ideas. I searched this but did not find anything in any of the other forums.

Maybe your CPS? Did you have the recall done yet?

Its usually the CPS ,,,could also be an ICP related problem ...scan for a code ...CPS is a cheap test ,,they are now being done under a ford recall ,,,If you can get your hands on an older new black one you may be better off than with the recall...

If you have an International dealer near you you can get a cps from them.

That is up to you. Some guys have had no problems with the new CPS some have. I have'nt had any problems with mine so I won't bring it in just yet. I do have a spare CPS in the glovebox, just in case.

The Ford recall is free. If you don't mind spending the money on one from the IH dealer, then I'd suggest letting Ford do the recall and swap the IH CPS yourself. Keep the Ford CPS as a back up just in case. That way you at least get a free spare.
