Stripped
I assume your handle is stripped. My dad's Ranger had a similar problem and I fixed it by pushing the **** a little bit farther on the shaft then drilling a small hole for an antirotation pin (I used a wood screw). It worked and did not look bad at all.

I believe there is an old thread on doing this somewhere here in the Super Duty forum, try seaching for lumbar and see what you get. You have to take the seat back apart and replace a cable I believe.
