does anybody know of a good reference site for the how to do's. I've always replaced things on all my vechiles (truck, car and motorcyle) like alternators, brakes, tunes ups etc. It'd just be nice to have something to refer to in case I crap on myself lol
I guess I'll keep the autolites on and replace the plug wires, fuel filter and give it a oil change, check the air pressure and look into buying a header,3" Highflow Catalytic Convertor
Don't put a 3" exhaust on that motor.. it won't help milage. A longtube header or tri-Y header is a good upgrade, but stick to a max 2.5" exhaust or even 2.25", the I6 does not move a lot of air and a big exhaust will kill low rpm power.
After checking tire pressure, putting new spark plug wires on,taking off canopy, changing oil +filter, and most importantly driving like an old grandpa. Over the weekend I took a trip (140 mi round trip, freeway doing no more than 65 mph) and I was able to get freakin almost 19 mpg! I'm pretty stoked. What a difference going from 14mpg to almost 19!
