Cell phone antenna ?
Does anyone have any info or experience with those cell phone booster or repeater antennas? If so, do they work in helping to reduce dropped calls? I am working in an area where my calls keep getting dropped. Any info would be much appreciated. Thank you.

I use a Wilson repeater system in my car.
It's a big help when I'm traveling in remote, weak signal areas.
They are not cheap, but they do improve performance whenever there is usable signal.

Another plug for Wilson Electronics (St George, UT) A great company with good tech support. I have been using one of their "Direct Connect" antenna amps, in my van, for years. I was able to make a call out of the Montana back country, during a fast moving forest fire, to find out which way to evacuate. You may not find yourself in that situation but it's a good thing to have. Of course, it will depend on your cell phone carrier and your phone, whether there is any signal to amplify. Their products can't manufacture a signal, only amplify it. Current cell phones are not as efficient in picking up and sending signal as phones were a few years back. I don't know why that is, but it seems to be true. I will be upgrading my "Direct Connect" to the wireless system this year and I'll go with Wilson again.

I use a Wilson magnetic antenna with an adapter that plugs directly into my Motorolla phone and it usually adds 2 bars of signal to my phone! I love it!
